Australian Ballet - Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
This project involved designing a DL promotional brochure for The Australian Ballet, inspired by their production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. My creative direction drew from both Tim Burton’s darker, whimsical interpretation and Disney’s classic and colourful version of the story. I focused on blending these influences into a minimalistic yet playful visual style that still aligned with the elegance of the ballet.
Alice’s Adventures
In developing the brochure, I explored various layout structures and folding techniques, using sketches to map out content flow and panel transitions. For imagery, I combined supplied ballet photography with a simple but iconic illustration of the Cheshire Cat’s smile, which added a subtle Wonderland reference without overwhelming the minimal aesthetic.
